An Introduction

I am so excited to get back to blogging, however this blog will be a little different. I hope to document my journey and include my meals, recipes, activity, family life, success & failures as I work at losing my last 30 pounds. I plan to do this by eating a Paleo/Primal diet, continue to do crossfit & incorporate yoga.

I hope that this little blog will be an encouragement to whomever stumbles across it. I have in the last 7 years lost 80lbs, 60 of those since January 2011. I have been eating Primal since August 2011 and don't know if I could ever return to the "normal" way of eating. That being said I have been at a plateau for the last 6 weeks and will be trying some carb cycling, in hopes of breaking through that barrier. The carbs of course will be veggies or fruits NOT breads, pastas, rice or legumes.

I am passionate about Crossfit. I would consider myself a beginner with a long way to go, but improving daily! I have loved to see the strength, cardio & flexibility gains since starting crossfit in August 2011, we have amazing, dedicated & knowledgeable coaches at our box that always have a way of motivating their clients.

Finally I have just started to incorporate yoga into my life, mostly for flexibility and quiet time:) I enjoy immensely and look forward to seeing how it will help with stress and strength.
